Roxette's Bits and Pieces

Time for Change.

As most of my Plurk friends know, I am being made redundant on October 31st. Production stops tomorrow, (some areas have already finished) and my services will no longer be required, so begins 5 weeks of paid leave before the final pay check comes through the door.

The loss of my job is not the only change that is occurring. I am leaving. Not Plurk or SL, but in RL I am leaving my husband of 25 years. It’s a lot of history it walk away from, but it has been a long time coming and something I have wanted to do for too long now. The reasons for the delay are many and various, (namely my daughters) but they have grown up now, and the youngest will be leaving home some time next year.

The redundancy also gives me the financial backing to make the change a bit easier, but it is still going to be a scary time for me. The roller coaster ride of life is full of its ups and downs, I have experienced many downs, some worse than others, and I do have some ups to look back on.

Looking to the future, I see hope, happiness and most of all FREEDOM!
